Turns out I'm just like every other red-blooded American guy, in that I like cars. Fast cars, sports cars, loud cars, cool cars -- all that stuff. I like to think I'd enjoy working on them too, if I had a garage to do it in. One of the many trade-offs to living in Manhattan during the week, and a compelling reason to stop doing that...
So this small slice of the Web is about cars. My cars, cars I like, whatever I feel like prattling on about.
Seems like a good place to start. In order, they would be:
1975 Buick Century
| Straight six, automatic
| The 17'9" Bondomobile |
| 1976 Toyota Celica | 4-cyl, 5 speed | My first "sportscar" |
| 1988 Honda CRX | 4-cyl, 5 speed | My first post-Disco car |
| 1985 Porsche 944 | 2.5 liter 4-cyl, 150HP '87 engine, 5 speed | My first "real" sportscar. |
| 1987 Porsche 944S | 2.5 liter 4-cyl, 190HP engine, 5 speed | Picked it up 25 April 1998. Smokin'! |
| 1988 Volkswagen Golf | 4-cyl, 5 speed | Winter car while 944S sleeps |
The last two are the only ones currently in my possesion. I lost track of the Buick, but the rest have gone to that great parts yard in the sky. And Peter, if you're out there, I still hate you for junking the Celica without asking me first...
